Dale Wills (piano and recording engineer) and I are delighted to share with you this recent recording we made to contribute to the major US Festival in Savannah. That Festival is now a virtual experience for quite obvious reasons.
The recording took place on Monday 23rd March in our beautiful Memorial Hall here in Marlborough College, and is a completely impromptu performance. We met for 15 minutes rehearsal beforehand, we’ve never played together before and the effect is designed to be a ‘live’ performance i.e no editing and no excuses!
The work is Schumann’s exquisite Adagio and Allegro Op 70, originally written for horn and piano but is equally persuasive on a number of different instruments.
